A former member of the Court of the Bank of England, he has also held a number of non-executive roles including sitting on the boards of Euroclear plc and LCH.Clearnet plc and serving as a member of the Senior Practitioner Committee of the Financial Services Authority. He is currently the non-executive chairman of Yell Group plc and the financial services operating partner of Advent International plc. Graeme has been instrumental in formulating and implementing Sovereign Reversions' strategy. He has worked full-time in equity release since 1997, having been Managing Director of Home & Capital Trust Limited prior to his involvement with Sovereign Reversions. He was a director of SHIP from 1999 to 2007 and chaired their Home Reversions Board. Graeme qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG where he spent seven years, followed by fifteen years in finance and corporate development roles in the service and financial services sectors. ![]() ![]() ![]() The Rt. Hon. John Gummer MPNon-executive, independent, aged 70Appointed 2004. John has been a Member of Parliament since 1970 and served as a Government minister for sixteen years. As Secretary of State for the Environment from 1993 to 1997, he had responsibility for housing matters. He is chairman and founder of Sancroft International Limited which provides advice to corporations on environmental, ethical and health & safety issues. He is also Chairman of the Association of Independent Financial Advisors, Veolia Water UK Limited, Valpak Limited and a non-executive director of Sistema-Hals, a Moscow-based real estate development company. Robert has been a director since inception, when he was head of the Corporate Advisory Department of Johnson Fry, which raised substantial equity funds under the Business Expansion Scheme. Rupert has been involved in the management of Sovereign Reversions since becoming a director and in Home & Capital since 1998. He has played a major role in implementing its acquisition and financing strategy. He is Chief Executive of Cambridge Corporate Consultants Limited, corporate finance advisers regulated by the FSA, and Chairman of Newsfax International Limited. A Chartered Accountant, he spent six years with N.M.Rothschild & Sons Limited in corporate finance and venture capital prior to establishing his own advisory company. |
